  • Sir George Gilbert Scott’s Grade 1 listed building returned to a Hotel with the public rooms at lower levels restored as restaurants, bars, meeting rooms and hotel suites.
  • The hotel will provide a total of 243 bedrooms.
  • The Grand Staircase restored to its original grandeur.
  • Construction of a new west wing which compliments the original building.
  • 68 luxury apartments are also inserted into the upper levels.

  • Maximum re-use of original services distribution floor trenches to minimise introduction of new false ceilings for services distribution

  • Moderated climate control within the original taxi rank enclosed and converted to form the new reception area
  • Use of chimney flues for bathroom and kitchen ventilation
